Kaleb Cooper has become an overnight celebrity after starring in the new Clarkson's Farm series on Amazon, which debuted in June.

The new TV show sees Jeremy Clarkson swap cars for tractors as he attempts to run his farm for the first time since buying it in 2008. As you can imagine, the former Top Gear presenter is probably better at cars than he is sheep, which is what makes this series so hilarious, especially when Kaleb puts Clarkson in his place.

Cooper, one of the lucky people tasked with showing Clarkson the ropes in the new series, told Oxford Mail that he "can't walk through the chippy without being recognised" now, thanks to the popularity of the show.

So let's find out a bit more about him.

Who is Kaleb Cooper?

Kaleb Cooper is a farm manager who was tasked with training Jeremy Clarkson up in all things agriculture. He admits that working with Clarkson wasn't an easy task, as he tried to teach the 61-year-old petrol head how to run his own farm, Diddly Squat Farm.

Born and raised in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, the 22-year-old has worked in agriculture his whole life. He worked for Howard Pauling, who owned the farm before Clarkson and who has now retired.

Cooper also rents his own smallholding in Heythrop

Kaleb Cooper net worth

Cooper, who was 21 at the time of filming the new series, soon became a fan favourite as he put Clarkson in his place.

His net worth isn't known, but considering that at age 22 he's a farm manager and contractor, he must be doing well, as is suggested by his recent purchase. Kaleb recently posted a video of his new car, his "dream car", which is a sporty little Nissan 350z.

Kaleb Cooper's Instagram

Well, he's got to be one of the most followed farmers on Instagram. The young Kaleb has more than 183,000 followers on his official Instagram account.

His huge following is largely down to his popularity with the fans of Clarkson's Farm.

If you want to give him a follow, his Instagram name is @cooper_kaleb.

Kaleb has also got a TikTok channel, which has more than 17,000 followers.

Is Gerald Cooper Kaleb Cooper's dad?

Gerald Cooper is another one of Clarkson's right-hand men helping him navigate the farming way of life.

Considering Kaleb and Gerald have the same surname and both live and work in the same area, it's understandable that fans think the two could be related.

But a representative for Kaleb confirmed to the Express that the two are not related.

Does Kaleb have a family?

Kaleb does have a young family of his own though.

He and his partner, Taya, welcomed their first baby, Oscar Cooper, into the World in March.

Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper applies for permission to live on his own land

Kaleb Cooper - one of the stars of Clarkson’s Farm - has applied for permission to live on his own land.

He’s got a smallholding of around four acres not far from Diddly Squat Farm - owned by the aforementioned Jeremy Clarkson - and needs to either live there himself or have another worker live there full-time in order to look after the livestock.

It’s a tough job, rearing pigs, chickens, and calves.

At the minute, the 24-year-old has a 38-foot caravan at the plot, which is currently used as a bit of an office, but it’s got a bathroom and even some plants outside for a nice bit of decoration.

Now, he’s applied for retroactive planning permission from West Oxfordshire District Council, which - if it is granted - will last for two years as he gets his business off the ground.

That’s a fairly apt pun, given that he is a farmer and will be quite literally living off the land.

Clarkson has been in a well-publicised dispute with the local authorities near to Diddly Squat Farm of late.

It all started because of the popularity of the show, which brought loads and loads of people to a very sleepy part of Oxfordshire, not far from Chipping Norton.

Earlier on in June, that decision was overturned by the Planning Inspectorate.

The problem was that the lack of proper parking facilities was causing ‘traffic chaos’ in the area, with people ditching their cards on grass verges on already fairly narrow roads.

Unfortunately, that inspector - Mr RJ Perrins - filed in his report that Clarkson’s new farming venture had become ‘a victim of its own success’ and was having an adverse impact on neighbours as a result.

He wrote: "I am in no doubt that this has caused a huge inconvenience for those who live near by.

"It was clear to me that many people visiting on the day of my final site visit had no regard to the proper use of the highway, with verges being further churned up and traffic having to stop, as visitors walked the middle of the road or cars manoeuvred into tight spaces.

"From that snapshot in time I am not surprised, as heard in evidence, that tensions have run high between some of those living locally and some visitors to the farm shop."

However, that decision wasn’t overturned and he’s been denied his Lowland Barn restaurant.

Kaleb, who has a two-year-old son with his girlfriend Tara, will be off on tour next year with his new book, which is called The World According to Kaleb.

That’s a nod to his mate at the farm, who had his own book series called The World According to Clarkson.

Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper has announced he is engaged, saying the news ‘definitely tops off’ an incredible year.

Cooper became the breakout celebrity of the Amazon Prime series, which follows Jeremy Clarkson’s attempts to farm 1,000 acres of land in the Cotswolds, after it premiered last year.

The gang will soon have two seasons under their belt – the second due for release in February next year – while the programme has already been renewed for a third instalment.

But while the hugely popular series has proven to be an instant hit with fans, Cooper has had plenty of happiness offscreen, too, having not only recently announced he is expecting a second child with girlfriend Taya, but that the pair are now also engaged.

Sharing the happy news with fans yesterday (Sunday 25 December), Cooper wrote on Instagram: “She said yes! 2022 has been an amazing year. This definitely tops it off.

“I honestly can’t wait for 2023 and all the following years after that. @tayaaaxx your my best friend as well as the love of my life. Was a long wait for this (6 and a half years).”

The post was accompanied by a smiley outdoor selfie, with that ring in clear view.

His wife-to-be commented: “I LOVE YOU CAN’T WAIT TO MARRY YOU!”

Jeremy Clarkson’s daughter Emily, 28, also passed on her best wishes, writing: “Yayyyyyy congrats guys!”

Just four weeks ago, the star had also announced that 'baby Cooper number 2' was coming soon.

Posing with their toddler Oscar, the family held up a scan photo, while a caption said: "So excited to announce that baby Cooper number 2 is cooking nicely.

"My number one goal is to buy myself a farm and be able to bring my kids up enjoying what I think is the best lifestyle which is the farming lifestyle."

Despite the excitement of his engagement, Cooper revealed he would still be having to work hard at Christmas - but was still sure to fit in a good festive feast for the family.

Posting a photo of him holding a 9.9kg turkey, he said: "Would just like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas.

"I know it’s early but I’ve got a busy couple of days! I will be tending to all the animals over Christmas but mostly will be trying to fit this turkey in my oven."

The next instalment of Clarkson's Farm is due to hit screens on 10 February next year.

The date drop came earlier this month, when the show shared a cryptic post containing 'fun facts' about the show - all of which turned out to be clues.

In order to solve the mystery, fans had to swipe through the post for clues and post their result in the comments.

“Jeremy lost 10 acres of crops during his first year of farming,” the first fact read.

The second teaser said: “Kaleb gets his hair cut in February.”

A third clue added: “It can take 2023 hours for a potato to grow.”

And for anyone who hadn't quite managed to piece it together, two bonus clues explained how Charlie's 'favourite season' was spring, and that Jeremy had 'two painful sheep encounters' in season one.

That's right: Clarkson’s Farm series two will air 10 February 2023 on Amazon Prime.

Jeremy Clarkson says furious Kaleb aborted farm after ‘stupidest idea yet’

Jeremy Clarkson says Kaleb Cooper left his farm after he told him about his ‘stupidest idea yet’.

But the 62-year-old has revealed that his latest brainwave was one too far for his right hand man, Kaleb Cooper.

In his column for the Sun, Clarkson explained that he wanted to expand operations at the farm down in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.

However, when he told Kaleb about it, the young farmer packed up his things and went to Cornwall for a week.

So what provoked such a reaction, you ask? Pig farming.

As well as making him a fortune, the presenter said he would also save a few quid by feeding his un-harvestable potatoes to the pigs rather than letting them out to rot.

Clarkson said: "You buy ten pigs for a few quid and three months later you have ten million. That's profit, right there. Pure, naked profit.

"Cheerful Charlie Ireland, my land agent, says this is the stupidest idea I've had yet and wants no part of it.

"Charlie responded to this argument by rolling his eyes and going home,” he wrote, “Which meant that Lisa and I had to spend a week or two learning an all-new language: pig."

Adding: “Kaleb was so unpleased that he got into his pick-up truck and went to Cornwall for a week."

But we think it's safe to say Kaleb's had other things on his mind in recent weeks other than pig farming, as the 24-year-old announced a couple of weeks ago he was getting married.

Sharing the happy news with fans on Christmas Day, Cooper wrote on Instagram: “She said yes!

And if you're counting down the days until the return of Clarkson's Farm, fear not, because you've not got long left to wait.

The second instalment of the popular Amazon Prime series is set to land on our TV screens on 10 February.

Kaleb Cooper had never seen a revolving door before and his reaction is priceless

Published

It's no secret that revolving doors are absolutely loads of fun and Kaleb Cooper of Clarkson's Farm fame has just had a delightful reaction to his first go on one.

Most people's first encounter with a revolving door is at a pretty young age when one's main concerns are chiefly how long it'll be before you get bitten by a radioactive spider and get your superpowers, or whatever it is kids these days are interested in.

Anyhow, the Clarkson's Farm gang have been down in London for the Farm to Fork summit and despite Kaleb not being the biggest fan of big cities, he headed there along with Jeremy Clarkson and Charlie Ireland.

The trio were welcomed into 10 Downing Street for a meeting with prime minister Rishi Sunak with the hopes of boosting farm production and cutting costs for families at the supermarket.

The Diddly Squat Farm got name-checked in Sunak's speech but the thing people should be really interested in is Kaleb's reaction to discovering a revolving door for the first time.

Clarkson posted a video to Instagram showing Kaleb having the time of his life going in circles, with the TV presenter telling the audience that Cooper has 'never seen a revolving door before'.

'Cheerful' Charlie was also with them for this bit and couldn't help but laugh at Kaleb's boundless enthusiasm for a door that spins around and around.

Once he'd had his fun Kaleb re-joined his Clarkson's Farm colleagues and declared the whole experience to be 'amazing' and the look on his face made it clear he'd had loads of fun.

To be fair to Kaleb, revolving doors really are amazing fun and if we're all being a little bit honest with ourselves most of us can admit we've probably gone round them a few more times than necessary just to enjoy it.

He's going to be providing up to £3,000 in funding to help young prospective farmers who could go with a bit of help making their way in the sector.

People wanting to get into farming will also have the chance to get some hands-on experience working with Kaleb or one of his colleagues.

As for the Diddly Squat Farm itself, we'll see it again in the last season of Clarkson's Farm which will be releasing on Prime Video in the future.
