Cobra Kai star Ralph Macchio is living his best summer life at the moment.

As the hit Netflix show is on pause for production on season 6, The Karate Kid star gave his followers a glimpse at what he's up to this summer. In a photo uploaded on Ralph's Instagram, folks saw the actor pose for a selfie while enjoying a hot day on the beach. Although it's not clear whether he's soaking up the sun near his home or at another undisclosed location, he clearly seemed to be happy about being out and about.

"Summertime ☀️," he captioned the picture on August 3. "And the [living] is … 😎."

The actor's Instagram post comes two months after he gave a surprise update about Cobra Kai. Posting an Instagram video on June 17 of the cast gathering together for a table read, viewers got a clue as to what was about to go down in the San Fernando Valley.

"Let’s GO!" he wrote. "Sneak [peek] BTS cast gathers for @cobrakaiseries Season 6!!"

When the actor's longtime fanbase saw the clip, they immediately reacted in the comments. "I had no idea how much I needed to see all of you together again!," one person wrote on Instagram. "Can't wait! Going to be sad having it end but feel so blessed to experience these old and new characters again!" another added. "So excited and so going to miss it!" a different viewer noted.

Despite the Waxing On: The Karate Kid and Me author giving a surprise update about Cobra Kai, season 6 is likely delayed due to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. As show co-creator Jon Hurwitz tweeted

back in May, the show was in the early stages of production before they put their pencils down in solidarity with the writers.

That said, we enjoy seeing Ralph looking good while we wait to hear when we can head back to our favorite dojo.
