Lil Wayne is coming to Texas for his tour this winter

Lil Wayne fans extended his Welcome to Tha Carter Tour, hitting two Texas cities this winter, according to the rapper's announcement on Monday, September 11. Weezy F. Baby only extended the tour to three cities: Knoxville, Corpus Christi and Hidalgo. 

The rapper will perform in Corpus Christi with special guest YellaBeezy214 on November 17 at the American Bank Center. Tickets will go on sale Friday, September 15 on Ticketmaster. The 40-year-old rapper, whose real name is Dwyane Michael Carter Jr., best known for songs like "A Milli" and "Got Money," will perform in Hidalgo the day after his Corpus Christi stop. 

In January, Lil Wayne announced his tour that hit 28 cities in North America in early spring, according to Billboard. The trek included stops in Boston, New York, Atlanta, Toronto and Detroit before concluding on May 13 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. It was the rapper's first headline tour in four years.

The legendary New Orleans rapper's most recent performance was at the 2023 MTV VMAs on Tuesday, September 12. He hit to stage to celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop at the annual awards show. During his opening performance on the main stage in New Jersey, Lil Wayne ran through some of his hits, including Tha Carter V cut "Uproar" and new single "Kat Food."

He was joined by Nicki Minaj, DMC, Doug E. Fresh, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, LL Cool J.
